Tony gets it, having been there enough times himself. It's time for him to give back, and show even a fraction of the kindness he'd been dealt. "Come on, big guy, get under the blankies." He nudges at Steve gently, still a little tender himself but he's not about to let that stop him.
"It's not quite orange, but not gold either, right?" he asks about Pepper's hair while he builds up to the good stuff, holding up the sheets for Steve to climb under. He'll dive in himself right after with zero hesitation. It's funny how for him, he's the only one who needs to be grateful. Steve must feel the same way. They make quite a pair.
"I don't think that," Tony remarks softly, finally responding as he tries to draw Steve in against his freshly whole chest. "And it's okay. If things weren't hard they'd be boring, and that's a fate worse than death, right?"
