"Yes, dear," he says obediently, smiling fondly. She's cute, acting like he's never opened a bottle of wine before!! It's also cute and endearing as hell how she's calling his mother Mom. Though he'd known Elaine would more or less adopt Toni the moment they met, and surprise surprise, he'd been right. His lips pull into a fuller smile as she leans in to kiss his nose, his free hand resting lightly against her side.
"You're such a lazybones," he accuses just as softly, affection lacing the words. Pressing the wine into her hands, he drops a kiss to her forehead and scoops her up carefully into a princess carry, heading to the stairs.
