Tony's heart is still beating fast, though it's been nearly an hour since his house was destroyed (yet again) by supervillains. Why his house? Why is it always him? He's not really feeling sorry for himself though, because for as much as he criticizes Fury, his plan really worked this time. His face-plate flips up as he pries off the left arm of his suit, indented dangerously close by one of those feisty Doom-bots. He flashes a wan smile over at Pepper, similarly battleworn. They really do work extraordinarily well together, he can't believe how he'd ever dismissed being partners before.

"Thanks for saving me - again." She really was good at that, and without her he'd most certainly not be standing right now. Though, yes, he is still lamenting his poor house. Oh well, easier repaired than he would be, probably.

She laughs lowly at that, quirking a smile that's equal parts knowing and sly behind her cup of coffee. That blush is so becoming on him. "Maybe next time it's your turn to do most of the work." It's a bold tease, very blatantly underlining the fact she wouldn't indeed mind if there were a next time...

He swallows past a very sudden dry patch in his throat, pupils blowing out slightly at her suggestion. "Did you have... something in mind?" he quests softly, wondering if there's a way to bring her fantasy to life the same as she'd done for him. Tony pitches forward a bit so he can enter her space, angling his ear towards her so she can speak into it if she wants.

Pepper's smirk widens a fraction at that, a hint of mischief gleaming in her eyes as he cozies up to her. Lowering her nearly empty cup, she tips her head a little toward him, wetting her lips with the tip of her tongue and asking in a low murmur, "Are you asking for a story of your own?"

A soft flush climbs up his throat, biting into his lip as he nods, once. "If you have one to tell, I'm listening." It's soft, only just loud enough for her to hear.
