It's kind of an odd word to use to describe the situation; if one doesn't look under the surface. Pepper can't help but do just that, somehow knowing he doesn't mean just now, this moment and this position. It goes further than that. Her heart skips, before fluttering wildly in her chest like a caged bird. Unbidden, some color rises to her cheeks, too, though she doesn't lift her head off his chest to reveal that. Her eyes are open now though, her fingers curling gently further into the soft cotton fisted in her grasp. "Is that... a bad thing?" she finally asks softly and quietly, a tiny bit hesitantly, after a long moment.
