"Clearly," she returns on a little laugh, scooping up the last of her ice cream from the small cup and setting it aside. She feels his eyes on her but it's less bothersome these days, less likely to make her self-conscious than it is to comfort her. It's odd, but she doesn't examine it closer, instead following suit and sampling the wine with a quiet hum of satisfaction. "Quite nice," she deems, uncovering her tray and picking up a thick potato wedge off her plate to munch on with a happy little sigh. They've earned all the carbs tonight.
