A little heat creeps up his throat at that, though there's nothing actually wrong with the turn of phrase. "Cards." Does he even own a deck of cards? He doesn't think it's a bad idea despite his abruptness. "...I mean, yeah. I know -- poker? That's not that great with two. Gin, maybe?" He licks his lips unconsciously -- it might still be early but he wouldn't say no to a drink.
