He scratches his eyebrow, looking up at her from underneath his hand. "It's not all an act, you know. I have some real-life jerk qualities, too." Though true jerks probably don't disclaim their jerkishness. "But... I can work with that." He can't quite keep the smile off his face, a bit of color rising to his cheeks as he tucks his arm back in against himself. It feels like a pure victory. Pepper Potts doesn't hate me!!! Woo-hoo etc.
